The inclinometers are mainly used to measure the displacements in ground and in structures that lie below ground level, such as: possible sideways movement around unstable slopes (landslides) or excavation works. It can also be used to monitor the stability of dams and core walls, the deviation of piling or drilling arrangements, and the settlement of soil in backfill, embankment and underground storage tanks.
