This tester is used to test the impact resistance of thin film materials. The test standards ASTM D1709 Method A and Method B can be implemented.
Test method
Clamp the tested plastic film on a circular clamp with a diameter of 127mm. The diameter of the impact head is 38.1mm for method A and 50.8mm for method B. The punch is fixed on the top of the machine, and the quality and height of the punch are adjusted. For the impact resistance of the film test specimens, 20 samples are generally tested to record the ruptured and unruptured test heights and the weight of the hammer.
